Imagined Book Covers

Personal projects: Series of picture book cover designs for the Imagined Book Cover 2025 Challenge. As no manuscripts were provided during the week-long challenge, I imagined the characters and conflicts that would unfold from each title.

Traditional gouache, acrylic gouache, poster paint, colored pencils, watercolors, oil pastels, and crayons on Mixed Media paper.

Book cover design for the title "A Spoonful of Stars." A luminous star child sits on a spoon over a soup bowl full of tiny stars.
Book cover design for the title "Daisy Sweetapple Lives Next Door." A child sits in the branches of a tall apple tree next to a big basket of freshly picked red apples.
Book cover design for the title "Eleanora's Sneeze." Six anthropomorphic boogers and neon green snot droplets fly out of a sneezing child with text: "The Snot Family's journey into the wide world. Adventure. Tragedy. Love. Loss. Glory."
Book cover design for the title "Dodos Don't Eat Donuts." Dodo bird backing away in surprise from iced doughnuts covered in sprinkles served on a plate.
